We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

MailPoet Newsletter & Emails

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or if you have purchased on our website, there is a good chance you will receive emails from us.

We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provided to you.

To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.

This website can send emails through the MailPoet sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.

No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.

MailPoet creates and stores two cookies related to using WooCommerce and MailPoet together. Those cookies are:

WP Mail Logging

When you use this site several actions (e.g. placing an order) trigger the dispatch of emails. They contain information about you associated with your email address. Which data are part of these emails depends on the action performed. These emails are stored and accessible to the site management as a log.

Contact Us

On the contact us page, you may enter your email address and a message to get in touch with us.  We will only use that information to respond to your inquiry and will not use it for marketing purposes.

Forum Participation

On the forum, you may choose to publicly share information.  Your User Name and your posts are shared publicly, along with any profile information you may choose to provide. The password, email and date of birth information you share with us during registration is used only to maintain your forum account or to include you in our newsletters, should you choose to subscribe to them.  We ask for your date of birth in order to require children under the age of 13 to get parental consent before posting. You can click on your user name at the top of the forum pages and select User Settings to see or to change the profile information you have entered on the forum. Our forum is hosted by vBulletin.

Website Analytics

As you browse our sites, Google analytics gathers information about your usage of the site. See Google’s privacy policy to understand how this data is used.

Security Logs

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

If you have placed an order with us or have an account on the forum, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Media

Our forum allows users to upload images, sound recordings and videos. All uploaded files are publicly accessible.  If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
